How do you remove tiles from plasterboard walls without ripping half the plasterboard off with it????

If they are stuck on properly, you can't.

If you aren't stuck for space, paint them with PVA and give them a light coat of bonding, then finish if you want to paint or stick new tiles to the bonding if you are retiling. Alternatively, rip out the tiles and plasterboard, reboard and skim

that's what i' do. alternative is hammer/bolster (ensure gloves and goggles - small bits of tile get everywhere, believe me!!). plasterboard is cheap enough - just replace the board

I use a spade (as in garden) to remove tiles, just run the spade along the wall and the tiles just drop off.
I haven't tried this method on plasterboard walls though.

This is what we do, works out far quicker and cheaper in the long run. :thumb:

the easiest way to get the tiles of is by prying a srewdiver behind them and easing them off, it usually takes them off whole and saves a lot of mess and cut fingers :D

Steam them off with a wallpaper steamer - softens the adhesive and they fall off.

A decent long handled paint scraper will also help. Use it like a chisel and tap it lightly with a hammer.

It may not be "up to much" as a paint scraper afterwards. :)
