View Full Version : !!! Performance Friction Group buy !!!
alanjack 05 October 2007, 16:35 Hi All,
Managed to sort a new group buy for these kits, Thanks to the man;) for making it possible:D. These are for Brembo calipers as found on STi models from 2000 on.
Kits will consist of front bells and rotors(discs) and a set of pads. The price is £572.23 + £10 P+P (same as previous gb). I am trying to get a price on pads for rear but will let you know.
This is NOT a bull**** post.
So to start a list going:
1) Alanjack
Steve Gibbins 05 October 2007, 19:02 Nice One!
Is there a minimum number of participants required to get the price?
Would be interested in a set of rear pads also.
You can count me in anyway!

funnyclub 05 October 2007, 19:28 Any chance you could get braided lines and brake fluid in the group buy as well?
alanjack 05 October 2007, 20:49 A few links here to help with questions..

Rear pads are £66 on top.
I am sure braided lines and fluid can be sorted out.
We need at least 6 guys or gals;)

dynamix 07 October 2007, 18:59 any chance of the 01 compound pads being in this?
gussy 07 October 2007, 19:16 I was going to ask the same question Duncan
alanjack 07 October 2007, 19:22 Hi guys,
£65+ VAT (£76.37) for both Goodridge Braided lines & 1ltr ATE Super
Racing Blue Brake Fluid
No PF kit for standard non-brembo calipers, but can probably do
Stoptech Front and rear slotted discs for £328. Would have to look into pad
prices. Can combine in the GB, but combined min would need to be at
least 8 sets.
Can't do any Wilwood replacement discs.
alanjack 07 October 2007, 19:26 Pad sets will be same as orginal GB as organized by Dynamix.
MikeyTang 07 October 2007, 19:59 Pad sets will be same as orginal GB as organized by Dynamix.
Does this mean u cant incorporate the 01 pads into the GB??
dynamix 07 October 2007, 22:04 Alan - who is the supplier of the group buy?
peterpeter 07 October 2007, 22:07 im in for this too.
Ive got a my05 sti and am looking for improved braking without needing 18" wheels and AP brakes etc.
This sounds like it will do the trick
Whats the total cost so far including pads and hoses etc???
alanjack 08 October 2007, 09:52 I am not at liberty to reveal information on suppliers.
We need to limit groupbuy to 10 people.
We also need to list what people want, We can supply 01 pads at extra cost as follows:
01 Pads are full-on race material.
Fronts are about £75 extra (to be confirmed)
Rears are twice the price of PFC-Z compound = £130 (again tbc).
GB
1) Alanjack (Discs/F+R pads)
2) Steve Gibbins (???????)
3) Robocop (?????????)
4) Chiroman(WR1) (Discs/F+R pads)
Please feel free to edit above, like I said 10 is the max and minimum is 6.

dynamix 08 October 2007, 19:49 wat i think alan means is the 01 pad will be 75 on top of the 572.23 and extra 130 if you want the rears aswell
The 01 pads are not £75 more than the z rated pads.
MikeyTang 08 October 2007, 20:16 The 01 pads are not £75 more than the z rated pads.
Then how much sud we be paying??
dynamix 08 October 2007, 20:53 I'd suggest calling Alyn at ASP or Paul at Zen for a price on these.
peterpeter 10 October 2007, 21:29 any news on this buy yet guys?
alanjack 10 October 2007, 23:14 listen dynamix i am just copying onto thread info from supplier. We need 8 people i know i have stated 6 before but that was my mistake sorry. As soon as we have eight we can place order when all deposists have been collected. I will ask supplier what they need.
GC8Lee 10 October 2007, 23:58 I found the front pads in 01 compound costs £159 quid....and the Z rated £110 or something.
