Achieving and holding target boost levels better and longer, throughout the rev range.
A more consistent boost level and therefore more consistent power outputs.

Anyone had experience of a newage (MY05) WRX with PPP being ECUTEK remapped?

I would probably replace the Up-Pipe first also with a decat type but would I also need a Sports Cat instead of the standard downpipe to get the real benefit from this (Don't want to go full Decat)?

If you have your car PPP equipped, then it already has a 200 cell sports cat in the down pipe.
Official figures for a PPP equipped car are 265BHP I think.

With your suggested up pipe cat removal and a 3" Miltek catted system on there you'd be looking at circa 270-280BHP.

AFAIK the WRX PPP doens't get a sports cat downpipe - only the Sti one does.

Oh.. Shows how much I know then. :D

Do you still get the 3 port solenoid even if you already have a EcuTek license ?(ie Previously been remapped:) )

Just got back from powerstation,having had the car mapped and boost solenoid fitted today.
Big thanks to all the guys down there,what a pleasent drive back it was. :D :D

would there be any noticable difference in power on my 05sti ppp, would it be worth the remap or would i be better off having a few more mods before a remap:thumb:

The deal is only for customers without a previous ecutek licence.

If you already have a licence, remapping costs will be £120+vat pr hr and usually takes an hour to an hour and a half.
The three port solenoid will cost £120+vat including fitting and all necessary pipes.

If it was me Azz I'd put all your mods on and then have it mapped.

How much power would we be looking at for a MY99?
Currently running PPP ecu with sports CAT in down pipe, no centre cat, ported headers and slip jointed up-pipe; I have a spare AE801 ECU that I could put into the car for the re-map, and then sell on the PPP ecu. I need the 3 port to control boost higher up the rev range in top gear.
Is there anything else I would need?

And do you work Saturdays? I got no more time off work and coming from Notts would need a while to get there. Ah, the temptation.

We do indeed work Saturdays MaDaSS, one of the lads thinks there's a spare undertray although there aren't any Sti8 intercoolers.
However we can do you an aftermarket one?

I can't forsee any reliability problems, it's always mapped to whatever is fitted to the car at the time of it going on the dyno. Any problems evident will show up at that time (like fuel pump or MAF sensor for example)

Or neutral position sensor..........Bloody annoying to drive when you really go for it.
