Tasty m8, seen it half built in here but love it even more now :thumb:

Edited to say after reading: Will it ever be finished? :)

Is it the same one that was in PB? Is there a SN thread somewhere?

It's the same one, yes.

No doubt it'll be in RiDE eventually, and then appear as a SCOOP - WE REVEAL MV'S NEW LIGHTWEIGHT expose in MCN a while after that.

Never let it be said that Emap don't get their money's worth...

Ooh politics! Who do you write for then SB?

Not politics, just don't like Emap's attitude. Along with most of the rest of the press...

I write for MotorbikesToday - the biggest online bike magazine in Europe. Totally, proudly, independent. Skint as well, of course, but free to make whatever editorial decisions we (well, I as I'm the editor) choose...

Simon - just had a browse around your site. I like the articles, but they're pretty hard to drill down to. Honestly, if I didn't know it was your site, I'd have left as soon as I saw the front page... I think you're missing a trick :)

The MV500 ain't gonna be in DIRE or TWO! I have some mates who work for PB and many of the parts for this bike and a couple of others are sourced from them. BIKE on the other hand is my favourite magazine from twenty years back and to be in the same magazine as Ogri is, well, let's just say I am a bit chuffed.

Here's a scoop though; I have run out of money, those MV parts ain't cheap and I'm looking at a quote for £1000 to have a set of exhausts designed and built. Be a while before I can afford that on top of everything else.

Meantime I am building a workshop so that I can crack on with this project and a couple of other 350 LC/YPVS bikes, oh and the CR500. All the information on the build is here (http://www.visordown.com/forums/showthread.php?t=288502) and the current state here (http://www.visordown.com/forums/showthread.php?t=345141).

Here's the speeded up version:

Apart from hiring a chap to help mix concrete while I poured the concrete base (in the pouring rain) and my long suffering girlfriend, it is a one man build so your patience while I finish this off is most appreciated. I am building it for the MV.

It's not out of the question for the MV500 to make it to the hallowed pages of MotorbikesToday. If the editor were to ask nicely he might get his graphic designer and photographer back :D I agree the navigation on our site is somewhat obtuse, it's been I while since I did any work on it :norty:

BTW, the Scoob (Legacy GT) will take 500kg before the suspension collapses. Ask me how I know!

Blimey Screwd I thought my cars got abused:eek:

BTW, get yourself a W124 Benz Estate, they can handle a lot more than 500kg before their springs cry enough:lol1:

Ask me how I know;)

Screwed, been following your posts on VD with interest..... I will be soon knocking down my 1950's concrete "just bike enough for a bike" garage, and replacing with a double,, room for 2 bikes and a newly purchased impreza !!!

Mind you, think I'll be getting someone else to do the brick work, even with the "brikie" thing, looks like hard work !!!

Many thanks. It is hard work but very satisfying.

Very similar in some ways to the MV. I've been paying someone else to do the work and it's deeply unsatisfying (lots of little niggles). I want to build it myself and I need somewhere to do it...

If you want a few words of advice on your garage, drop me a line. I can tell you with some certainty what NOT to do :D

Screwd.
