hi there,
I've been offered a very nice fireblade 1000rr, its a 55 reg 2006 model bike,
thing is its an american import bike (blue and yellow= lovely colour), is there anything that I should be weary of when buying an american import?

cheers Taffy

nope they are full power models m8 , just have side reflectors and some have the indicators perminantly on as running lights { well they do in america anyway , and i know the cruiser boys like that }, other than that job done .:thumb: .

Don't forget that the headlights will need to be swapped out for RHD spec ones as it is an MOT failure as well as being a bit dazzling for others on the roads !

...and running lights (indicators permanently lit) are also illegal here so if it has those it's a chunk or work to change.

Biggest downside, though, is getting matching plastics if you bin it. Time for a Ten kate replica paint job, maybe?
