Full rebuild with Yoshimura parts. Proven 170 bhp at rear wheel. Pick it up Wednesday. Are these a good Bike? I had a K2 for a while but had a big off on that. I loved that bike. Odd colours as well this one its Black and Bronze.

iv got one good bike suspension needs setting up properly
engine is sweet as a nut 160bhp
gearbox is like CHOCOLATE be warned ! however there easy to work on .

only real problem is front end set up front trys to tuck under but sett up can get the bike razor sharp along with some good tyres .

you need any info just ask on here the main forum members are realy helpful .

Ta, a poor pic from my Camera. Lots of money has been spent the Dyno Graph shows 170bhp at the Wheel.

looking good not such a common colour .

you might find the rear sets are quite high iv got them on my bike and im thinking of going back to the standard ones , they do look bling though .

if you have 170 at the rear wheel im thinking that engine might have been tuned
if not you might have a good engine , has it been raced ?# :Suspiciou

The rear sets are on the lowest setting and ok. Yes it was built by a Suzuki specialist in Newbury. It has a Spec list as long as my arm. Mostly Yoshimura, all ported and polished, wild cam, a different ecu full Yoshimura race system, different head gasket etc etc.

Not raced it was built as a Demo Bike.

what they done to the suspension then ?
try 35mm preload on the front 4 rings showing on the rebound 6 clicks out on the compression .

rear is 40 - 45 mm sag on the rear and take it from there the rear shocker isent that good if your heavy like over 14 stone but its possible to get the bike going well .:thumb:

they are very simalar the k2 an k3 arent that far apart .

as for speed they are the same in top gear on the limiter is a true 175mph
the clock will show 186 then the bike should pull to the red lin in top gear in a prone position and not on public highways (:lol1: )

they are a bit smaller when your sitting on the bikes k3 being slightly smaller .

blueprinted engine --- dont waste a large chunk of money m8 , dont take this the wrong way but it wont make you a better quicker rider , and your not using the full potencial of your standard engine .

well throw all them away then , and go pfm or ap 6 pots with iron discs .

straightlining for pussies m8 , fast cornering is where its at ,,,, and when its not there its big rolling stoppies wheelies and burnouts , you no that !!

firstscoobdude
30 September 2007, 01:05

alternatly go down the k6 /k7 radially mounted front end !

im no fool and i know i need to get to a better standard re the riding of the bike but the bike has to be the way i want it even if im not going as fast as some .
MORE LEARNING IS ON THE CARDS FOR ME like you say im not using the full potential of the bike in the corners but on a the exit im on the stop all good fun though first ever 150mph wheely was on this bike and posatively balistic compared to my old rrv blade maybe not as fast as the cb though eh lol :luxhello:

have the limiter done and change ya gearing then
dont think it will pull anymore top speed it just creeps to the redline after a while
who knows lets just enjoy then thing .

i know what your talking about re the cornering hence the need to learn the art of sliding it wide im going back to SCHOOL :luxhello:

1 of my r1s has dymag wheels { woohoo faster turn in - less unsprung weight blah blah blah } and i run proper rg 43 ohlins front forks rear shock , full ti evo akrapovic system , whats it worth a lap ermmmm negligable cos in the back of your mind your thinking feck me hope i dont sling this up the road and bend me forks wheels aker etc etc .
point im making , the more it owes ya normally the more care you take ov it , and the slower you may ride it { possibly }
lost count of the dudes on track days riding early r1s / gixxers / blades giving it large going double fast and trying twice as hard not giving a fook , killing brand new 8 grand superbikes on there sub 2 grand track hacks .
just dont invest 2 much time and money chasing performance dude .
as that extra performance may {or may not} already be sitting in the saddle
