As interest free credit cards are widely available do most bike dealers accept payment for bikes with a credit card?

Makes sence to me to leave my cash in the building society and stick the bike on a card, remembering to change cards at the end of each interest free period.

You have to be careful with this one, most companys now charge a transfer % fee, and there's even talk companys will start charging people for not using cards, and obviously when you put anything on them it kills your fee free period.

another thing to consider is that your credit rating is effected if you change cards all the time + as mentioned there is a 2.5% to 3.5 % transfer fee as well to contend with .pay cash and then start saving up again thats the best way .:thumb:

My cash is in either Isa's or 60 day accounts so i'm reluctant to touch it.
Halifax are currently doing a 12 month interest free card on purchases which seems quite tempting.

For example. I got my GSX-R on interest free finance at an excellent price, too. Proper UK bike, not pre-registered or anything.

Decide what you want and how you wat to pay for it and tell the dealer. You'd be amazed how many will accept it if you're not taking the piss.

There's *always* the slack in a deal for them to do interest free if they so choose. But remember they have to make a living too, so don't try to screw them so hard that there's no meat left in the deal for them...
