c0lin 21 September 2007, 17:16 Folks, been on phone to TSL about my wheels (Yet again!!) an they told me that in order for them to help me, i need to try a set of 17''/18'' wheels on my car with a higher offset than what they sent me to see if if they rub then...before they send me a higher one out...
The offset they've sent me is 45...so has anybody anything bigger??
I'd really appreciate your help folks...

geoffo 22 September 2007, 02:13 17'' rota torques here if ya need - id like to see this mate, summit aint rite.
c0lin 01 October 2007, 13:17 ok folks havin established its the wrong offset, i rang tsl who have offered to help...slightly...
as they are based in england, obviously collection would cost them a lot, so he has offered to do me a really good deal on a brand new set of wheels rather than collect the current ones and post new ones...(the new deal would cost them the same amount as the collection if not more...apparently)
Personally i think its a crap offer as i don't have the cash available at the minute to splash out on new wheels....
what do you guys think??
p.s. any interest in a set of 17'' inovit redlines in gun metal?? :wonder:
fabiostar 01 October 2007, 13:27 was it not them that kinda sent you the wrong wheels in the first place:wonder: .sounds like there trying to cover up the balls they made in the first place by letting you spend more money...
had a we check on the original subaru wheels i got with mine.your car should deff 100% be running 55 ofset.its stamped on my subaru wheels outa the factory..
i do fancy those wheels of yours mind you:luvlove:

ulsterscooby 01 October 2007, 14:23 Mate your best bet might be a solicitors letter would probably only cost you about £10.
Just have it worded that they supplied you the wrong item and replacement is their problem not yours a set of wheels can be couriered to GB for about £60
So imo it looks like they are trying to fob you off stick to your guns as the customer is always right

The guy who done my shocks at tuninworx told me i needed a 55 offset also, so i've told the guy i've been dealing with thats wat i need...he told me that a 55 offset is VERY RARE! So he told me to leave it with him until he speaks to his manager as i may have to choose a diff rim.... so im gonna be on the phone again first thing tomorrow morning.
Fabio - u can buy them off me if u want mate but they won't fit urs either lol (well they will if u dont carry passengers in the back:lol1: )
Yeah rab I have a slight feeling i may have to go down that route of a solicitors letter....
geoffo 01 October 2007, 18:38 c0lin hope my last txt made since mate - sale of goods act 1974 "goods must be fit for use intended" and am afraid your's werent, failing that a letter will cost ya £50-£80.

thanks very much bekee:thumb:
bushiwarrior 01 October 2007, 22:25 a solicitor will not send a letter as its a small claims matter, you would probably need to lodge a small claims at the court house with the value of the item being as low as it is.
c0lin 01 October 2007, 22:30 been thinkn bout it...if worst comes to worst, il pay half the courier fee...after all it'll cost less than a new set of rims and tyres!
