36K is due on the wifes Mixer. Been quoted £315 by Victoria Park Mazda in the 'Diff. This is for Oil, Brake Fluid, Coolant and Service as per:cry: . Nearly in Scoob Land!!

I have bought OE Mazda Filters, will buy my own oil and coolant.

Anyone know a Specialist MX-5 or Mazda Specialist in Cardiff?

Or do I bite the bullet and break out the Tippex?

Your local trustworthy garage should be able to sort a service on an MX5 and properly do a better job than the main stealer;)

That is disgusting! £115 difference between Main stealers! Sounds like a job for The Ferret! Cardiff Con artists.

So, it's been serviced but I had a few problems:brickwall

Dropped the car off and talked money with the Service manager.

"Yes that's right £318" Him

"No I was quoted £200.81!!!!" Me

"That's for a 45k or 4yr, your mileage is 34k" Him

"Hmmm **** OK but I have brought my own oil, filter from Mazda, sump washer, plug and Coolant" Me now chuntering like a good un.

Off I go with the Courtesy Car, cost £10 for the day.

So, I call up at about 2PM.

"Hullo this is me is my car ready?"

"Yes sir, no issues with the car everything is fine but you have bought the wrong oil! You gave us 5w-40 but Maxda recommend 10w-40."

"Oh ****............" Chuffing Magnatec too!

"But because of the quote we gave this morning we will not charge any extra OK?"

So off I go to get the car.

"Here's the final bill sir.................£174 including courtesy car payment for the day"

Card in machine, PIN number in, me in the car and gone.:luxhello:

The things that struck me were courtesy, honesty and finally the savings by supplying the servicing bits. How can oil, filter, coolant and some minor bits I bought for £40 bring a bill down by nearly £140 notes. Cheers Newport Mazda:thumb:
