Cheers mate,

Ive got the standard wrx bumper at the mo and a jun splitter in the garage.
My bumper is a bit tatty and would need more work done to it than just spraying.

I paid £100 for the four door handles to be colour coded at my local bodyshop....ever get the feeling you've been swindled:mad:

I'm lucky that i work in the paint spraying industry so know how much the stuff costs and in some cases they will charge more for the small jobs.
Unless the bumper is really buggered they shouldn't charge you much extra as they will have to prep it anyway.

With my current bumper it think it may need some filler as there are some deep scratches all over (second hand bumper after some twat reversed into my mint bumper 2 weeks after having the car imported:mad: )

anything up to £250 can be expected, go cheap and you may regret the lash-up you end up with

I would say £100/£150.

I paid £400 for full front due to stone chips. Needs doing again though already................

I was quoted £90 from someone in Bedfordshire to re-spray an after market bumper in metallic black. I thought that was good, but as mentioned watch out as you usually get what you paid for :(

I work in a bodyshop.

To paint a second hand front bumper, would take me 3 times longer than to paint a brand new one.

This is due to...

A used one will have stonechips, scratches etc... that will need sorting out, which will then lead to more labour and paint/materials used.
Also the used bumper may have been painted before, badly, thus causing more problems when it comes to guaranteeing the paint finish.

A new one takes about and hour and a half to prep/paint, and can be guaranteed no problems.

It is false economy sometimes to buy second hand...

Al IMHO of course...;)
