Good Afternoon/Evening,
A friend of mine is an artist in the film industry (has worked on X-Men, Chicago and many other films) and has been known to paint the odd thing or two (we've got a couple of his paintings in our front room).

He has some of his artwork being shown over the weekend at a gallery at a presentation of artwork by artists in the film industry, and it's possible that he might get commisions from people who see his artwork at the show.

He's mentioned in the past he'd eventually like a website where people can purchase prints of his art, therefore he'd need pictures of the artwork on the site, and this is where my question comes into play.

Could you suggest camera settings (Panasonic FZ-8), possible filters/lenses (I've got a 52.8 - 55mm adaptor tube for the FZ-8, so 55mm items are ok, or I could use step rings), and techniques/methods to get the best picture of his artwork.

As mentioned, I've got one a couple of his paintings and so I can have a bit of a practice at home.

Thanks in advance.
