Playing our best TEAM instead of our best Players!!
England are a TEAM now, against Russia, - devoid of the best Players ... but just goes to show that we can have Englands 11 BEST Players playing, but they are not a TEAM!

Do agree to some extent. No place for Lampard in that team and wouldn't play him in the England team again, ever. Not missed Beckham or Rooney in the last 2 games and again no place for Lennon even though he is a great player.
That team tonight is our best team even though I can't stand seeing Heskey back in the team, he does feed Owen goals and thats what we need.
Gareth Barry was SUPERB and everything Lampard isn't when he plays!

GB ran that midfield. His passing was almost faultless as was his defensive covering. Wait until you see what Ashley Young can do 
We all know that if Lampard was fit, McClaren wouldn't had had the ***** to drop him. Will he have them to leave him and Hargreaves out for the next game?

Rooney is a match winner .... difficult to leave him out if fit.
Lampard - overated
Beckham - finished
Carrick - who?
Hargreaves - good substitute for Barry
Neville brothers - end of
It was stark for all to see that you can play players who are not the best in the country, but, who play as a team and gel ..... and who can beat an excellent team like Russia!
To score 3 goals against a team who came to defend and with the defensive qualities of russia should not be under-estimated
