i have tried all sorts of window cleaners in the past and find like you that none of them leave a crystal clean screen. I have found the best way is to mix vinegar and a small amount of washing up liquid in about quarter of a bucket of warm water, wash your screen and then use kitchen roll to wipe clean, leaving a smear free screen. Just remember, dont do this in baking hot weather as it will dry as soon as you put it on.

I've been using an old tea towel to dry and polish mine. Seems to work well.

Warm water and vinegar with a chamois leather.
As above a rub over with newspaper gets all the streaks out.
