:( yes i did the unthinkable on saturday, i gave the wife a loan of the car.all was going well until the washers became empty, she stopped at the garage to fill em and instead of putting the screen wash and water in the washers she put it in the radiator :( can anyone tell me if this will have an adverse affect on the engine? i have had the car out a couple of times and it seems to be running fine.. any help appreciated :)

cheers kev...

Hi Kev

Dont think anti-freeze & screenwash mix will do the cooling system much good.So suggest you get the system drained, flushed out & refilled with new anti-freeze.

Any local garage can do this for you at a small charge, or if I can help you out please contact me.

Unlucky Kev,

Bet u`ve learned u r lesson there then eh
Got 2 admit like, mine did the same when i had the zetec Ford,
I told her "u only put stuff in the 1s with yellow lids" so she did but it was all the wrong stuff in the wrong bottles. Luckily she didn`t touch the brake fluid n oil "phew". :D

Dinnae git me started about wimmin!! Mine has damaged every single car I have ever owned, with the "It's only a car!" reply.

The Evo has been safe so far, due to luck I suppose, and the fact, that I let her NO WHERE NEAR IT!!!!!!

...nearly on a soap box....and thats another thing...they never wash it either....even their own...whats that all about???
