i've currently got a taylor made rescue 19* and get on well with it, but i'm still flitting from a 3 wood to a 2 iron and thought i might aswell go the whole hog and try a similar length utilty wood.

so who has got on well with what? i liked the look of the titleist 585 but it looks to be aimed at the better golfer (i play off 10, but nearer 13 on a tough course)

so what's out there that'll go the length of a 3 wood and can be hit by anyone?

ta:)

I'm a very average golfer (18) and I don't find any of these these things very easy to hit! I've tried a Taylor made (can't remember the name - just borrowed) that was in the "small wood" style and own a Mizuno fli-hi, which is more in the "fat iron" style, and neither of them went very well.

Don't carry the fli-hi any more, I either try a 3 iron or lay it up with a mid!

Sorry, that's not very helpful is it? I think the answer to your question is "nothing"! However, I did much prefer the feel of the fli-hi fat iron style to the small wood style (like the Titleist you mention) so I suggest you try a few examples. Quite a different feel.

Hi mate,

I use Calloway heaven woods and rave about them. I hit them from anything 170 to 210. I find them accurate and quite easy to hit. I tried, taylormade, wilsonstaff as I love there irons and nike but the calloway won by a mile.

Approx £99 each.

chop :)

Ps - I play off 14.

Yes I love them - in my opinion calloway make the best woods anyway and these give so much confidence when at address.

I would advise a 4 or 5 first then add a six,

Depends what day of the week we played, have the ability to lose all control on the golf course and hit 125

chop :D

callaway heavenwood is on the way:D thought i'd start with the big gun so a 1H 14* is the weapon of choice:cool:

gets used in anger on friday, probably back on ebay saturday:lol1:

The Heaven woods are great. A friend of mine who plays on the Europen Tour uses one and he wont swap it for anything else!!! Fantastic for coming out the rough, the ball just pops up!

Good choice:thumb:

nice little club the Heavenwood, cheers for the heads up chopper:) might take a bit of getting used to though, it's alot smaller than i thought it would be! does go well though, averaged about 240 and most went straight;)

got used alot on friday, played a course called Tudor Park near maidstone and although there's not a par 4 longer than 385 it's a bit tight! the driver only came out twice!! would recommend it though, lovely greens, testing tight tee shots.
managed to keep it on the short stuff most of the time and shot 5 over gross which is half my handicap:luxhello:would have been better if i hadn't choked on the last hole:rolleyes:

£50 a tee time at the mo, so get four out and it's a damn cheap round of golf for the quality of the course:thumb:
