I will be picking up my shiney new RS4 this week so need to restock/add to my cleaning gear.

What is the best gear to use on leather? I want to keep it all in A1 condition but don't want to apply anything that will discolour the stiching. Also how often should you apply as i am guessing you can do too much?

I am also out of car shampoo so what is the best gear on the market these days - poorboys or Jeffs or anything else?

I use Poorboys leather cleaner on the interior of my TVR and think it gives excellent results (and smells nice too). Tend to apply it monthly / bi-monthly.

As for shampoo, i'm currently using Meguiars but will probably replace with Poorboys super slick'n'suds when it's run out.

Just be wary of the smell issue with Gliptone; to some people it smells fine, but to others (inc me and Clark), it smells of old people rather than leather! Other worth considering that smell nice and work well: budget = Poorboys Leather Stuff, luxury = Zymol Treat, lovely product, works great and smells very pleasant. Shampoo-wise, for a good value gentle product, it's hard to beat Meguiars Shampoo Plus, but for a little bit extra cleaning power then Poorboy's Slick n Suds is a great alternative. :)
