I had some paintwork done about 3 weeks ago, how long should I leave it before polishing/waxing?

i would think you could get stuck in now.most body shops use ovens so any paint work is well set by the time you pick the car up from the body shop, unless they have told you other wise.

I have recently had mine in the bodyshop. I asked when I could wash/wax the car, they said you can do it now. :thumb:
So, I suggest you make a quick phone call to the garage/bodyshop to confirm this and to put your mind at rest.

As above, as long as it was fully cured by either oven baking or IR rigs then it's fine to polish and protect straight away. Only when paint is not fully cured does it need to be left to cure and degass for around 60 days before being worked upon. Reason is that if you block pores in fresh paint with wax and or sealant it can't degass and cure properly (or so I have been told by paint experts), and it then remains soft permanently.
