I have a slight problem, i have tried to fit an 03 STi bumper onto my 03WRX but the new STi bumper is shorter at the sides where it meets up with the wheel arch, upon measuring the old bumper it is indeed 1" longer in this area. Has anybody else experienced this?

Whats the solution?

I know a few of the guys on here have fitted these bumpers, midlife I think, what did you guys do ?

Any help appreciated.

Its not a fault, just that the wagon has narrower front track, different front wings and slightly different front bumper compared with the 4 door.
I was planning the same mod and just to live with mismatch.
The wagon has long gone and the STi bumper is still in the garage

I've changed most of the bits on my Bugeye but the bumpers are still OEM LOL :D

As butty has mentioned the wagon has a narrower track (and hence attracts less tax in Japan) so some of the bodywork is not interchangable with the larger saloon :(

However I have seen a silver newage wagon tooling around carlisle with a nice looking non-oem front bumper... I can see it in my mind but can't remember the manufacturer..... Chargespeed ??

Cheers

Thanks Guys, I already bought the STi one and had it painted DOH! I knew I should have asked first. I'll phone the bodyshop and get them to fix the STi winglets and lip soiler to the WRX one then. Thanks for your help.
