currently running pirelli diablo but having shredded the rear in under 2000 miles i am thinking of trying a harder compound on the rear. (the front just happens to be tattered at the same time)
thinking of a Michelin Road Pilot 2 on the rear and a Pilot race up front. having read around a fair bit it seems that the race compound is overkill for the road. seems few people have tried the road/rave combo on hayabusas, gixxers/r1s and found the road compound to be more than up to the job with tales of 5,500 miles out of a rear and still plenty left for some rolling burnouts i am mighty tempted.
i am not one of the "how much is your head worth" brigade, if a piece of equipment will stand up to the job asked of it i don't care if it says Arai or AGV on the front.
so anyone here tried it? screwd is it true that DJ blind tested tyres on the IOM course and chose the road over the sports equivalent tyres?
