Well, having just got my first proper bike (http://bbs.scoobynet.com/bikers-37/621989-became-man-today-aged-31-a.html) I need to get kitted up.

For the daily commute, I won't change much besides needing wet gear, as you never get past 40mph in central london.

However, for occassional weekend ride-outs, what's recommended?

Obviously a decent full-face lid (the open face momo I have is perfect for commuting and suits the Monsters styling, but I felt exposed on the M25 today!!!), I need some better gloves too, but what about boots, trousers and jacket? I think leathers on a Monster may look stupid, so I was thinking more the reinforced material route, with built-in protection, and then some proper riding boots?

Any thoughts from the experienced out there?

FULL leather at all time... I had an accident at 20 mph in full leather and a back protector and ended up in hospital for 5 weeks with an open fracture of my femur..... anything less that full leather at any time is silly !!
