Can understand why but surely banning the ***** that were ruining it would have been better rather than putting it out of the way so hardly anyone else uses it?

I dont think it is anything to do with the new style of having to pay for search etc
The forums needed re-ordering into more organised categories, and something has to be at the bottom, there are a lot of forums on this bbs, and it is a Subaru Related site (although you could argue about mupputs and NSR and their locations)
A few of the other forums have moved all the way down too, but what was at the bottom previously?, everyone still had to scroll down to see all the forums, I cant even remember the old layout now lol

Quite right, MM, it has nothing to do with them receiving an infraction from certain other members nearly every time they post something that doesn't fit into the new and improved, yet slightly quiet and a bit samey, "clique"

Guys
The forum restructure has nothing to do with "making commercial sense". It has to do with ordering the forums into a list which makes more sense for people browsing the site.
Whilst scoobynet has obviously grown beyond being only a subaru forum, its primary purpose is just that.
We have to put thing in some form of order, and if you look at the ordering the priority is the most respectful possible to the majority of people visiting this site.
And as for a "culling". Approx 8 members have left scoobynet. Out of the total of 70,000, and an estimated 12,000 active members, we now have an estimated 11,992 members on the forums. Hardly a culling.
But as someone said.. we're looking for quality, not quantity.

All very plausible until you realise "The Hutch" takes pride of place towards the very top of the forum list.
If you then look at all other forums, none of them fall into this bracket. If you assume that each of the forums are inside their correct section, then the sections have to fall approximately in the order they are in now.
Hope this clearly that up.
