Been down to ProSpeed to get a quote on wifey's MX-5. What a very nice man Charlie is. No bull, answered all my questions, no sucking of teeth and gave a top quote.

So, he got my business and the new shiney pipe goes on 20th July:thumb:

Manners maketh the man.

Yes, he's a top bloke. He don't mess around. If you want something special then he'll do it with no messing around.

I just spoke to him yesterday about a full de-cat and he was the first person to give me figures without the techno bull of other bigger companies.

I was going to ask on here if anyone have used Prospeed and if they have a good rep, seems i have been answered:)

Spoke to Mazda after I had been to Charlie and their quote for a mild steel unit was £50 more than the Pro Speed quote. Also MX5parts, MX-5 Parts and Accessories for the Mazda MX-5 and Eunos Roadster (http://www.mx5parts.co.uk) Stainless Back Box was less but no through pipe so, £318 all in for a Cat back system for the little Mixer is good for me and my bank balance:thumb: . It may sound a little better to:norty:

The Larini Systems are a nice bit of kit too...

There's one on my shopping list in the near future for my 5...:norty:

Had a look at them but again it was the back box only. Racing Beat do some good stuff to www.MX5MAD.com. For all your MX-5 performance parts and accessories (http://www.mx5mad.co.uk) but again they don't quote for the pipe from the cat back:brickwall

I have had the old type JR cat back system on my 5 since '98 - think I have blown most of the baffle material out now but it still sounds great :)

A mate replaced his JR (same as mine) with a Larini system (again cat back) and it is a little raspy but that is down to the cat being replaced with a plain pipe.
