Just heard the tragic news that a 600 rider was killed at Mondello Park on Sunday, its tragic but yet it shows that even in the relative safety of short circuits, these events sometimes happen. A young lad was killed last year at Cadwell and a couple of years ago a lad was killed and others seriously injured at Brands Hatch. So for all those wanting to have the TT closed down take a look at these events and just admit that tragic accidents will happen.

Not good at all, although everyone knows the risks. Really terrible when things do happen like this though.

The brands hatch incident, was that the starting grid pile up?? If so, my friend was in that and ended up breaking his femur's, pelvis, some ribs i think and loads more injuries. Just got totally run over over and over again. All good now, but things can go very wrong really quickly.

It's just one of them things with a sport of this nature. Nothing can be done to improve safety really though is there?

Nobody wants to hear about deaths in sport though.

A firend of mine was in the pile up, Jamie Morley. The lad that got killed was called Mitchell, cant remember his first name.

Not to put too much of a downer on this already sad subject( my condolences to the famil concerned)
But sooner or later the EU will have their way and impose some sort of sanctions on biken racing/ TT/ NW200 etc..
