Default What to enable in Windows 2000 to allow remote assistance ?

Need to remote control a Windows 2000 Pro computer

What do I need to turn on, on the machine to get it running ?

eg. For WinXP pro, its just control panel > system > remote > tick box

You don't. Remote Desktop arrived with XP at desktop level (2000 server included Terminal Services for admin).

Have to install VNC or something similar.

You can also just install http://www.logmein.com or gotomypc.com or something simliar.
