Who is the best specialist scooby clink or scooby bits.:wonder:

As anybody had any bad experience with any of the above, if so what and who.
I have used both specialist for different things, so far scooby bits as an edge over scooby clinic.:luxhello:
Can any body shed light to who there think is the best and why.

HDC Subaru for me, no b@llsh!t, good prices and your not paying for fancy blinged up workshops etc.

I,m well aware there is more then 2 Scooby specialist, but i no only of 2 and only been to 2.
I just wanted to no if any body has used the clinic and the bits before and what was there like.
Did there do what there said and charged what there said e.c.t please post all comments.

I striped 3rd gear about 6 months back, the only Scooby specialist i new of was the clinic, so i phoned them up for a new box £650 plus VAT for a recon.
So down i went, ask how long like you do i was told ring tom. tom came and went same the next day. On the 3rd day i gets a phone call from SCOOBY CLINIC saying my clutch in naffed and will need a new 1.
As i live 45mins away i had to say fit 1 then, because if i said no there would have put a naff 1 in befor i got there.
This put me off the clinic as i just paid £350 for a clutch 3 months befor the box went.
So £650 box cost me £1156 another £300 the dealer would have put me a brand new 1 in.

post replys on the clinic if you have been or the scoobybits if you have been there to.
Also i live in rotherham is there any more Scooby specialist.

I havent a clue what you have said there but it sounds like you had some bad luck if I can read it properly.

Would you want SC to put a dead clutch back in and charge you again when that didnt work?

I would say not - they did you a favour.... thank them for it.

Did you ask for the old part to take away?

Scooby clink.:wonder: :eek2:

Don't speed or you'll go to scooby clink!

I've used Subaru 4 You in Newbury. They're very good.

why are you shouting at me?

Talk to ScoobyClinic themselves rather than trying to slur their good name here without any proof.

Like I said I reckon they did you a favour but I am sure if you ask nicely they will put your dead clutch back in.

I've not used either but i've only heard good things about the clinic! i know a few people that have used/use them and they always say they get good service.Pluss it's always busy so that speaks volums to me.
On the same subject i can recomend API.David is a very nice chap.good service and at a good price. they make a mean cup of tea to.

Clinic is good. Think you would have been well p*ssed off if they put the clutch back in and then 2 months later, you would have gone back to them to fit a clutch.

Scoobybits - have only spoke to now and again. Seems good. Smaller than Clinic.

Between the 2, I would go Scoobyclinic no problems - been up there a few times now

Only bad thing is with Clinic - they have to many goodies and tease me to get new bits! :D :D

since getting my current scoob back in december last year, scoobybits is the only place ive been to with regards my car. jase is a good guy, tells you straight, no bullsh!t walking around issues. kris, his mechanic knows his cars, and is always prepared to help with any questions etc etc.

ive never had any experiences with the clinic, as i have no need to as of yet, scoobybits providing everything and more ive needed. if you view my scooby, thats lovely red thing is the work of jase and kris, after my recent accident. never going to be perfect perfect for a 8 year old car, but for the price repairs cost to the amount of work done, its a wonder jase makes any money at all.

i personally, and this is only an opinion, find some of the clinics prices to be high in comparison to what jase may charge. maybe this is as they have an excellent reputation, or more overheads to cover. dunno, but as said above the prices scoobybits generally give havent really been beaten.

usually a couple other guys to natter to aswell while your waiting. i live in scunny about 45 miles from scoobybits, and i have no problem driving the commute on a friday etc to discuss little things.

hes a busy guy though. usually if i ring and ask something, i can get in within a week. asked to book for a service, and cant get me in until july 6th! thats a long wait compared to what im used too.

scoobybits all the way!!! but havent used the clinic yet.

I'd have to agree with COB /\ /\ /\ and it was because of his thread that I gave Scoobybits a call.

I got a service (to Subaru spec), MOT, 3 dints removed and also the front headlights de-tangoed for considerably less than what the main dealer wanted for just a service! :luxhello:

I picked my WRX up last night and couldn't be happier with what they have done, it actually feels like it has had a service, (pulling harder in second, you can hear it breath again etc :) ) So it goes better, looks better and they saved me some money! Result! :notworthy

Both Jase and Kris are top lads, they know their stuff and seem to enjoy what they are doing, plus they are just down the road from you!

I've never been to the Clinic but after the service I got from Scoobybits I can't see me ever going anywhere else. Give them a try!

What you have done with the headlights has completely changed the look of the car! :luxhello: I still can't believe that those dints came out that well either! :luxhello:

I mentioned you to that guy from work, he'll be in touch when his service is due too.

Keep up the good work!

thats half the fun pmsl

you'd actually not go to a specialist due to be located on a farm :o, thats rather small minded isn't it (not meaning to offend just a strange responce pmsl)

Its just all the dust/dirt/and other things that you dont want in an engine especially if its being re-built. I would use them for parts and remaps though
