To be honest £411 is a cracking quote! I've just started a new policy but i'll be sure to give them a try at renewal.

THis is really interest ... I started a post a few down from here where A-plan renewal was 950 ish. I got elephant down to 720 and was searching...

Just tried privilege online and its £495 !! The only thing the online quote system would not take is PPP details. 'Scooby,dLm' .. I assume that quote of yours was obtained via phone rather than the internet (because of your PPP). If a phone quote comes in near the same amount with PPP then I will bite their hand off .... perhaps something is happening in the insurance industry - the big players coming good again at last ?!

Jesus! your right, just got a quote for £415, that's over £250 cheaper than I'm paying with Admiral

You need a tracker fitted though. Might insure with them and get a tracker with the money I'll save

Hey all .. be carefull

Phoned them and explained about PPP quote went from below 500 to over £1000. Make they are NOT selecting a 'PRODRIVE' car as this will not cover PPP - I made them check and they then needed to last as a conversion.

Not so happy now ..!

Guys

Just done a quote on-line and mine came back 322!!!!! Mind you, that requires a tracker. How much are trackers nowadays anyway??

Still, 322 is much cheaper than what i was quoted from Tescos and Elephant by a mile!!!

Will it be cheaper still if I phoned them?

Cheers

Gordon

Just did an online quote and it came back about £200 cheaper but when I put my reg number in it is coming up as a UK car and not an import. Most other sites have my car as an import when I put my reg number in.

great prices for new customers guys
i paid just over £500 for my 03 sti type uk listed as prodrive but its not! and that included breakdown homestart.
however, be warned for my renewal is due on saturday and came in at over £900
apparently pff7 reps and blitz nurspec-r are to blame, but when declared at time of purchase only £70 inrcease to premium.

so enjoy your great premiums, but alas it may only be this years

ps if anyone can recommend another company it would be appreciated.
admiral are best up to now with £628
cheers .....jeff

Try Direct Line - I've just had my renewal in for my 2002 WRX and it's gone down £52 from last year to £388 full comp/protected NCB/legal protection/car hire - it's not an STI, but for a WRX I can't complain!

They couldn't come anywhere near A plan for me. Not that i would swap anyway as i've more or less just started my policy with A plan.

Insured on an 03 plate STI

I'm 26, 6 years ncb, car on street, clean licence, 10k miles per year, £500 excess

All for £539 fully comp & protected NCB can also drive any other car on my policy to.

Also their registration lookup thing says my car is a wrx SL. what the hell is that?
