(Noob question)

I'm trying to adjust the white balance on this to give it a value of "Auto -3" But I can't get the damn thing off "auto".

I've tried pressing the button on the back & move the jog wheel, but nothing happens.

The button definitely works in "in menu", so that's not an issue.

Any ideas?

I've RTFM'd and sorted it.

If you're using it on 'Auto' i don't think you can change the WB
On A S M or P mode on the main selector press menu on the back of the camera then select the Green camera icon , Scroll down to 'White bal' scroll down to theWB you req, then then pres the main selector button right then it gives you the option to tune the white balance exactly.
Theis option is availablbe for each WB setting.Or check here

or.......

Just press the WB button in the left of the LCD at the back, main wheel at the back for WB, front wheel for fine tuning. The WB and tuning will alter in the top LCD as you turn the wheel.

For manual WB, change WB to PRE then hold the WB button until the icon on the top LCD flashes, then take a picture of your white (or grey) and if it accepted it, it will say "GooD", if not it will flash "no Gd" and you will have to do it again.

You can also select it from a picture on your memory card, but I can't remember how to do that (I never have either)
