View Full Version : What size anti roll bar?
mr incredible 12 May 2007, 18:54 What size rear anti roll bar (whiteline)do i need??my car's a STi8(2003)and is already fitted with an ANLK and solid drop links on the back and apart from a Greddy strut brace the rest of the suspension is standard, not sure if i need 22 or 24mm.Any help would be appreciated.

corradoboy 12 May 2007, 19:08 It depends on your driving style. If you're last of the late brakers, tail out, sideways, Mr Agressive on either WOT or locking up then a 22mm is for you, and the more agressive you are the softer it should be set. If however you're smooth and controlled, feeding in power and hardly ever using brakes then the 24mm will suit.
mr incredible 12 May 2007, 20:53 Cheers mate, thanks for that bit of info:thumb:

If your looking for a front bar I have a brand new 25mm Perrin adjustable bar available. This is arguably better quality than whiteline :thumb:
mr incredible 10 June 2007, 14:55 Just fitted a 22mm whiteline ARB,WOW what a difference:eek2:
Tried it first on the softest setting now on the middle one(not sure on this one in the wet!!).
What setting do u lot use??

silent running 10 June 2007, 16:48 I started on the soft. Pretty much straight off changed to the middle. Within a week I was on the hardest setting to 'try it out' but in the end I just left it. It suits my driving. If I had known this in advance I might well have gone for the 24mm but I drive the 22mm hard setting full time now, wet, dry, whatever. It's suprising how quickly you get used to the car driving properly at last LOL

Your right mate!!,drove the car on soft after first fitting the bar and was well impressed and the next morning car felt normal again! so put it in the middle, probably end up on the hardest setting as well.

corradoboy 11 June 2007, 15:08 Started middle, went hard 2 weeks later, never went back. Wished I'd got the 24mm

P1 FEK 13 June 2007, 11:59 With the adjustable 22 & 24mm bars is there and overlap in the settings? ie, is the hard setting on the 22mm equivelent to the soft on the 24mm bar?
geoffroberts 18 June 2007, 22:42 Sorry to hijack the thread but I have just bought a second hand whiteline adjustable rear anti roll bar. How do you go about achieving hard, medium and soft settings? I assume it is by using the three holes on the bar, but which is which?
geoffroberts 18 June 2007, 23:04 Sorry, just found the fitting instructions on Test Page for Apache Installation (http://www.whiteline.com)!
