as many on here know, a pratt pulled out off a t-junction and smashed into my drivers side. cars repairable and hopefully liability is a foregone conclusion. im claiming off my insurance (yey £900 excess to find) who will then claim off his insurers, for damage to the car, and costs for a hire car while mine is away being repaired. i believe the legal expanses team are sorting out the claiming side of things.
anyways, when it comes to renewal time in december, will my premuim go up as ive been involved in an accident even though its not my fault. ive heard the term "non fault accident" a few times, but im worried as ive been involved in one, any prospective insurers, (should i leave ecar) may think of me as a bigger risk and a whoping great premuim rise will occur.
im only 22 (will be 23 when renewal comes round) and will then hopefully have 1 years ncb. im currently paying £1761 fully comp, and cant afford an increase on that to be honest.
can any insurance people (tony @ greenlight, andythejock01wrx, molwywrx etc etc) help, or offer any advice. i believed at the time to claim via my insurance and then them off his to be the best way of doing things.
also i may have a possible whiplash claim going in, as a few days after the accident i started developing pain in my neck and shoulders. this hasnt caused time off work, but regular visits to a chiropractor are now a necessity. would this claim affect the legal expenses side of things.
cheers
