Hi

We've got a small old oak table that we're trying to restore. It's now been stripped & rubbed down & ready for finishing. We don't know what to use for this type of table. The grain is very attractive, so we don't if if to varnish it (do you varnish oak?) or something like French polishing.

Any hints or tips please?

One of our joiners at work is a wizard when it comes to wood finishes. If I see him, I'll see what he suggests.
