Cool NBO CLUB STAND COMPETION INFO ###

As you all know at thre NBO 5 there is a club stand competion which the silverware will be defended by the Wagon Crew and the SMACS ,the terzo commander was showing for one year only and is not competing this year as he couldn't get a chief ton tank for the display

the clubs entering are



Cumbrian Scoobs CS confirmed number of cars - 18 cars

TTS confirmed number of cars -18 cars

LADS confirmed number of cars - 18 Cars

SMACS confirmed number of cars - 18 cars

WYIOC confirmed number of cars - 18 Cars

Wagon crew confirmed number of cars - 15 cars

WR1 club confirmed number of cars - 6

Ayreshirescoobies.com confirmed number of cars - 18 Cars

RB5 confirmed number of cars -18

RB320 club confirmed number of cars -12

## If any other clubs want to enter a club stand eg Sidc,Cads,sport,svx or foresters etc We must know before the 7th may as the final field plan will be drawn up at the next NBO committee meeting .


As you all know the club stands (large) are 70 foot wide 40 foot deep and the height of low flying aircraft

The spaces will be allready marked out for you when you arrive thanks to Gussy the ringmaster and super Roo from CS ,thanks in advance to them for getting up at 5am for this task from their NBO mobile HQ (cheap tent from Aldi)

Martin (TTS Chairman )
Gussy (CS chairman )
Mark <the terzo> who set new standards last year

The scoring is total marks out of 100
in 4 different sections which are -

1 Banners
2 bunting /flags
3 use of colour
4 Is space used wisely
5 position of vehicles parked
6 number of vehicles too many/sparse

section total 30 points

Cars-

7 variety of modles
8 good standard off cars
9 cleaness of cars
10 Display boards /specs

Section total 20 points

Club tents-

11 Signage
12 quality of tent / equipment
13 club information leaflets /pos
14 tables/chairs
15 Catering/hospitality

Section total 25 points

club members -

16 enthuasism of members
17 knowledge of club
18 details of club activities
19 Club regalia /uniforms
20 The X Factor =# Does it make the judges smile

Section total 25 points

-Total number of points 100

The stands will be visited by the judges hopefully between 12-1pm and time will be spent examing the displays and asking questions
Please apoint a stand manager/deputy to show us the stands and we will also be interviewing other members from the stand .

If you look at the 20 sections above it will help you prepare your stands ready for the event .

Of course there will be grumbles and moans from some of you and celebrations from others when you win the tropheys and as a special incentive there will be 4 tropheys 1-2-3-and 4th place so it is worth fighting for as we feel that it is an important part of the NBO concept and development .

The marking sheets will be handed back you and the similar format will be carried forward to the NBO 6 .

The judges descion will be final


please feel free to post any questions about this part of the NBO and I will be able to give you help if i can .

Good to see the CADS on the list aparently they have spent so much time making the new look CADS show style display they had waited to the end to register to confuse their competitors in thinking they weren.t coming

the smaller displays 6/8 cars will have smaller spaces allocated to them so they dont get marked down for correct use of space etc

i was at the rising sun show over the weekend and seen one the above stands there imo they gonna take some beating at the NBO unless people have a good plan up there sleeves cant wait see the out come of this comp its gonna be intresting

thats the one matey top stand well thought off great lay out friendly bunch of guys massive seletion of cars gonna take some beating in my eyes but let the battle compense LOL

Yes i agree this year the club stand of the day competition will be awesom with lots of work going into it

the LADS are really into it big time ,the CS are confident after winning another major trophey on sunday and their cabinet is now bulging ,CW and the SMACS are very secretive but have came along way in the last 3 years and CW still polishes his 3rd place trophey weekly and Im sure will be coming out with something special to fight off the LADS and the Yorkshire boys

the RB5 boys are fielding their biggest stand for years ,theTTS have banned me from their meetings and are up to something special as usual

Again the top secret 555 squadron are planning the formations and <unique> style that won them the gold last year .

The CADS and WR1 boys i know are up to something and there could be a real big surprize from over the Border from the Ayreshire scoobs who are planning to invade England and take no prisoners

With 5 tropheys ordered as im writing this it is going to be a very keenly fought competion ,Lots of work has gone into the judgeing critea that we have set for this and close scruitany of the points show what the judges are looking for in this the

lord harding i was lucky enough see few stands at the weekend and cs gonna have to up the anti get near the lads unsure what anyone else doing just seen lads stand and was looking good
well done to u for taking rsoc non ford stand 1st i came over say hi but couldnt find u pm me if u still in need of some pa stuff etc

Just a pointer! Can the PA system be loud enough so people at the bottom of the field can hear the DJ!

Couldnt hear a thing last year!

if lord harding wants to use our pa/music system hes welcome lol will deffo be heard and turned up probly be heard other side of the theme park lol

Lordharding, responsibility for our display this year rest on the the broad shoulders of Pete Higham and wah. They've both stepped forward and will be the ones recieving any silverware on the day

thays because you were polishing all the tropheys you won for bonny scotland


the stand and PA system will be in the middle of the field next to the Arena along with the tropheys ,charity collectors,raffle prices and ticket sellers
once again we have secured the services of Martin reay Cumbrias very own CFM disc Jockey who has given his time up to help us fill the charity buckets

you have some secret weapon hidden up in tyneside

the LADS are up to something Big too

looking forward to this competion

Maybe i will have to audit the club membership numbers and question everyone on the stand on technical knowledge of scoobys if it is a close one

By now all club stands should have been planned to perfection and cars chosen for the stands the numbers are as shown

Cumbrian Scoobs CS confirmed number of cars - 18 cars space

If you want to change your number of cars as shown on the list please can you post on this thread your new revised number and if you would like a slightly smaller stand as you can be(and most probably will be) penilised on correct use of space if you have an 18 car pitch and only 6 cars !!!

The tropheys have been ordered and comprise of

Best club stand NBO 5

: : second place

: : third place

and 3 runners up plaques so a total of 6 honours to be won !!

we have decided on 6 prizes in recognition of the very hard work that the various clubs are putting into this event
the winners will be anounced at 3pm along with the car of the day winners and the raffle and cheque hand over to macmillan cancer
