Leebo77 28 April 2007, 15:35 There are details on how to change the volume and switch the beep on and off in the instructions. If that doesn't work, the battery in the alarm speaker needs changing. You can get them on ebay - they're quite easy to replace, takes about 20 mins. scoobdizzle 28 April 2007, 20:05 but the alarm came wiv the car. it was workin fine! until me dad press da wrong button ! now he cant remba lol ! oh well guess i have to ring clifford then ! cheers Jesus H 28 April 2007, 22:20 Does the alarm led still flash in the car? If yes then the siren battery is probably dead and needs to be replaced. If no then the alarm is probably in valet mode. skyline gtr v 28 April 2007, 23:24 What model is it ?? scoobdizzle 29 April 2007, 01:04 :wonder: how would i find out the model ? valet mode ? ow would i get out of that ? as in when i press it to alarm it it still flashes if u no wha i mean  Jesus H 29 April 2007, 17:18 in your car should be a little red or blue light which flashes to tell you that the alarm is on. Is this flashing or is it on all the time? scooby276blue 29 April 2007, 17:26 its the same as mine, the beeping only goes on for so long then stops, dont worry, as long as the alarm sets after 30 secs everything is ok, hope that helps you gingerflyer 29 April 2007, 18:01 There are details on how to change the volume and switch the beep on and off in the instructions. If that doesn't work, the battery in the alarm speaker needs changing. You can get them on ebay - they're quite easy to replace, takes about 20 mins. 1 Turn the ignition on 2 Enter your valet code 3 then press and hold the * button of the PlainView 2 switch for about 3 seconds until you hear a siren chirp. 4 press the flat (unmarked button) twice (wait till you hear 2 chirps) 5 Press and release the * button once (you will hear one chirp) 6 it will now chirp 1, 2, or 3 times. 7 repeat steps 4 and 5 till you hear 2 chirps (that is the loud (regular chirp) setting, if you want the chirps to be quiet but still on repeat steps 4 and 5 till you hear 3 chirps. scoobdizzle 30 April 2007, 11:13 cheers ginger ! but how do you think i deactivated this? but ill give it a try 2nite ! thanks for the comments ! EddScott 30 April 2007, 14:01 If the beeps still work to inform you you are in program mode then its probably been turned off. If it doesn't beep at all or not as it should its probably the battery. However - I swapped the battery in the horn as detailed when I bought a new battery and the alarm still won't beep and now when armed the red light flashes alot faster than it used to before. I think its shagged and quite frankly its the worse single item on my car full stop :) scoobdizzle 30 April 2007, 20:27 ok heres the deal ! if the alarms on and i open the door the the alarm goes of like normal ! then when i press to deactivate it then it charps ! then when i try again back to normal all silent :wonder: ? im just thinkinf of changing the blady alarm ! pisses me off every 10secs comes on !! MotorG Raf 01 May 2007, 09:14 sounds like your battery in your siren has gone |
