When I moved into my current house it was fitted with cheapy taps. I replaced the bathroom basin taps with supposidly better ones with ceramic washers.

Now these taps are very noisy to use and they drip.

I think maybe the problem is that the house is fitted with one of those megaflow boiler things and the pressure maybe higher than standard boilers ??

Anyway I want to get some nice quality taps that don't leak or make a lot of noise when in use - any suggestions welcome.

No, no, no. no ,no, no, no!

Middle of the road at best, with poor after sales service.:(

Ideal Standard, Pegler, or Bathstore.

There is little to choose between any of the above, including Bristan.

As for after sales issues, all are good, had an issue only 2 weeks ago with a Bristan part, one phone call and the replacement part arrived with 2 days. No issue there.

I supply and fit 2-3 bathrooms a month, and would be happy if my customer selected any over these. Only real problems come with the unbranded budget ones.

If anything a ceramic disc tap is better suited to a megaflo system, the noise you describe maybe due to a ballofix valve or small bore hoses connecting the taps.

Cheers, the tap is the cause of the noise, the taps I had on before sounded OK..

You're doing well mate: i can't get them to respond to e-mails, they don't answer the phone, in fact the after sales service is w@nk.

I'll NEVER buy another Bristan tap.
