View Full Version : CL - the Semi's
STi wanna Subaru 23 April 2007, 13:54 So folks... thoughts?
United will concede of that I'm sure. therefore it's about if United can score. I feel we need to take a lead over there otherwise they will just sit in and defend.
I feel it may be 1-1 but I'm hoping for a 2 or 3-1 victory.
This made me laugh with the Chelski game.

check the ref :D I wonder if his family wont be paid a visit just prior to the game? :Suspiciou
going for a 2-1 chelski win with Liverpool winning 1 nil and home and going through.
davegtt 23 April 2007, 14:03 1-1 at OT with 0-0 at SS putting United into the final.
1-0 at SB to Chelsea, 1-1 at Anfield.
Chelsea v United Final. :)
G-STAR 23 April 2007, 14:29 1-1 at OT with 0-0 at SS putting United into the final.
How do we manage that one? :wonder:
davegtt 23 April 2007, 14:37 lol doh. mustnt have been paying attention. I'll stick by the scores but putting Milan in the final on away goals.
WTF am I doing :lol1:

King Eric 23 April 2007, 15:11 A much as my heart says we will go through, with the defensive headaches we have at present I cannot see it :(
Its a Milan VS Chelsea Final for me....
liverpool to beat Chelsea both home and away . . .
Woulf def have fancied Utd over Milan in the other semi but now what with utd's defensive probs i'm not so sure ...
STi wanna Subaru 23 April 2007, 15:18 Why are Liverpool fans so confident? Your wins in the past have either been lucky in a very very tight game or when Chelski have had all their defence out injured. I don't like Chelski but I almost hope they stuff Liverpool

Its a double edged sword. Chelsea win then they still have the chance of a quadruple. Liverpool win and they have the chance of a 6th euro cup - we'd never hear the end of it.

Hey, in one season and 5 more games it could be entirely possible we'll be joining you in the Premiersh!t so dont look too smug ;) :D

I'm aware..... I don't like even thinking about it! :D
Every reason to be confident
liverpool more than capable beating Chelsea as we showed at anfield couple months back
in fact Liverpool capable of beating any team on their day so why not be confident ??

the 2 nil at home was against a very under strength chelski team. Or have you forgotten that. Chelski are clearly the better team as the league shows. Over 2 games that is more likely to tell than one game. Yes Liverpool can certainly go through but I just know I would not be as confident about it as the Liverpool fans seem to be. Fair play to you for that.
As well as that we have an astute coach who is a very good tactician and who brought us our fifth european cup in his first season in charge ...
We have a team who are playing well at the moment and whose players know that this is our only chance of a trophy this season ,
We have a rock solid defense with prob imho the best defender in the premiership at the mo ..
Up front bellamy and pennant are really starting to show some excellent form in their last couple games
and we got Peter Crouch who certainly knows how to find the back of the net as he's more than proved again and again this season much to the dismay of his knockers ;)
Oh and of course not to mention a man who can win games on his own
Steven Gerrard mbe
And you wonder why we're confident ?? :wonder:  :D
I'll admit the Chelsea team weren't at their strongest at the time but all the same I still stick by what I said in so far as Liverpool are capable of beating any team on the day
At this stage any of the four semi finalists could win it
Its that simple really

Really?! are you sure any of the 4 left? :lol1:;)
Chelski have only conceded one in their past god knows how many games. they have a great keeper you have a dodgy one.
I think Liverpool fans are overestimating their own team and underestimating Chelski.
I'm sure any of the four could win it ...
But I think its gonna be one of two ;)
And I aint saying which lol
davegtt 23 April 2007, 16:14 Chelski have only conceded one in their past god knows how many games.
1 goal in the last 2 games, 2 goals in the last 3 games :lol1:

pauld37 23 April 2007, 18:28 but all the same I still stick by what I said in so far as Liverpool are capable of beating any team on the day

You still talking of lucky wins?? sound like Jose of two years ago, we've got one of the best defences in the country and may I remind you and also the best English team in Europe in away legs.
I think maybe you should concentrate on your own game tomorrow without worrying about Wednesday.
Personally, I think Chelsea were a better attacking force two years ago than now.
pauld37 23 April 2007, 18:50 we've got one of the best defences in the country
:wonder: Yeah, but Chelsea and Uniteds are better
and may I remind you and also the best English team in Europe in away legs.
But the worst in home legs, as you are the only English team left, to have lost :Whatever_
check your facts before PD....... losing to Barca at home ?? no great shame there, not like playing Roma or Lille.

STi wanna Subaru 25 April 2007, 16:35 Well pathetic banter from the chelski and pool fans today.
STi wanna Subaru 02 May 2007, 14:33 So United fans... how you feeling about the game tonight. My feeling is the same as the first leg. We'll concede but can we score? We've been pretty poor away in the CL so far so I'd start AC as favourites. We need to shackle Kaka as best we can.
I do think though that if we can hold out for a good while and keep the pace up then they'll tire in the last 30 mins.
You just know they'll target Scholes, Giggs and Ronaldo to try get them booked.
16vmarc 02 May 2007, 14:41 Its effectively 0-0 in my eyes, both teams have a lot of work to do. Bit nervous tbh!
rfowler 02 May 2007, 14:41 Liverpool played excellent last night i just hope tonights match is as good, but i rather play Milan
