Lincoln clay soil! Loads of stone. Lawn looks like willy thornes head. Its around 200 metres square. Do I

1. Leave the bald garden and lay turf on it.
2. the above but rotovate and level with topsoil(how much would I need)
3. Keep over seeding and hope it bites
4. coat the whole area with topsoil(how much?) and re seed

anybody an expert????Im f*cked off with it all!

Personaly I would pull off all the existing grass/turf with a digger and get it grabbed away, if you pulled off 50mm all over then you would have 10 cubic meters to dispose of, would prob cost in the region of £400.

50mm of fresh top soil all over would be around £300 and 200meters of turf would be approx £550.

That would give you a working lawn, the deeper you dig/top up the better the finished result :)
