View Full Version : Big Bad Black Bike?
Abdabz 16 April 2007, 10:59 Cycling along the side of my local bypass yesterday when a huge black sporty looking beast of a bike came round a roundabout, and left 3 other "superbikes" for dead down a long straight...
It seemed quite a bit bigger than the other bikes in terms of length and and a reet good roar to it... It also had a full fairing (sp) if that narrows it down?
I couldnt see the make/model and wondered if anyone in here could help?
Cheers
Abdabz

Abdabz 16 April 2007, 11:30 Cheers but this bad boy seemed longer and more "rounded" with smoother lines... I thought this could be tricky...
Pudders69 16 April 2007, 12:00 zzr1400?
Abdabz 16 April 2007, 12:04 Hayabusa it was :luxhello: The pic didnt come up for me in this thread so I googled it...
Thanks folks... I shall look into performance figures... Cheers :D
I love this place :)

Performance figures: fookin' fast. Remember, this is the engine of choice for people putting bike engines into kit cars. 174bhp from 1300cc (from memory) without a turbo! Or 300bhp with ;)
Abdabz 16 April 2007, 19:38 These other 3 bikes looked kinda 750cc in size and were clearly together in matching power ranger kits scragging off this roundabout, when The Hayabusa :notworthy caught them up and just screamed past them
It was like street hawk on whizz :D
Smiler1 16 April 2007, 19:55 suppose the other 3 could have had 9 points on their licence and a wife and kids at home - just because they aren’t ridden fast doesn’t make them slow.
Cheers
Iain – R1 owner and yes it will happily keep up / pass a busa when I chose ;)

Yeah sure it will - only on bends my friend:thumb: ;) :D
The Chief 16 April 2007, 20:33 A good friend of mine who used to ride a fireblade and an R6 and was/is imo a s**t hot rider was left speechless when a friend let him have a spin of his Busa, he literally was left speechless, 100mph crack open the throttle and wheelspin, or wheelie depending how sticky/hot the rear tyre was.
Performance Bikes once commented.....'our rear tyre was tw9tted after 1500 miles of hard riding and woudl have got a grin from plod'
I also used to watch these destroy tuned GSXR 1100's at Elvington on Men and Motors - all they had was a bloody can and dybijetted to suit.
crazy crazy mental bikes
Smiler1 16 April 2007, 21:49 Hi Chief
I take your point they are phenomenal in a straight line (I had one for just over a year) but it’s a bus of a bike and was only any good in a straight line – GSXRs and R1s are still to much for our roads but are much more usable.
but my point was that a bike isnt slow because it isnt ridden at 100% and there a lots of reasons not to do that - the bloke local to me who was buried leaving a wife and a 12 month old daughter last week for instance
Be safe
Iain

The other power rangers were scragging the life out of their bikes and were left for dead, hence why I implied that the other riders were scragging the life out of their bikes and were left for dead :cuckoo:
To be honest all 4 bikers seemed to think that the laws of the road didnt apply to them and that only kryptonite could possibly hurt them as do most gay power rangers on sunny Sundays...
I wasnt trying to diss the other 3 bikes or their riders, simply imply that the 1.3litre beast was noticeably quick and that I wondered what it was... In a weird and unlike Abdabz way I was almost building respect for a motorbike of the likes I hadnt noticed before...
Oh and Iain (R1 owner who can happily keep up and pass Hayabusa( (when you chose)) :lol1: :notworthy. You're special.:) I am humble in your company. Thanks for gracing my thread :lol1:
STI Craig 20 April 2007, 22:05 if you think the hayabusa is fast ive been told that the zzr1400 is quite a bit faster than that, but i have also read in a mag that the is a new hayabusa coming out siad to be faster than the zzr1400 (if they get the emissions of it under controll for sale in the UK)
JUST WHEN WILL IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
never i hope :norty:
