For those with Conservatories, how do you heat yours in the winter months ?

I only have a small gas heater in the room, so it doesnt get used as it can't be on a timer etc, and takes quite a while to heat the room

Its a tiled floor already, and underfloor heating would probably be the best route to go, but would mean re-tiling over the top of existing tiles, after the underfloor heating has gone down

How easy is it to add another radiator? I know this will partly depend upon my boiler, but I do have one reasonable sized radiator that could come out of the loop so to speak, as it has never been used as the room that is in doesnt warrant it ever

we have a rad and underfloor heating. never intended the u/f to heat the room - just to give a warm fuzzy feeling to the floor. aaaahhhhh. the rad is set to the lowest setting on the trv and hardly ever comes on, but as we're south facing, the conservatory heats up pretty well from the sun (even in the winter if it's a bright day).

rads a re easy enough to fit, although you'll either have to pull up some tiles to get your pipework through under the floor or you'll have to surface mount the pipework (although you could box it in afterwards if you wanted to). ease of fitting obviously depends on proximity of boiler to conservatory and whether you can acheive a suitable route between the two for the pipework

If it is sunny there is no need for heating (south facing) but when required we use a couple of electric oil filled heaters (around £40 each I think but cant quite remember) which easily cope. Couldn't be bothered about putting underfloor nor radiators as it seemed wrong to put on the central heating if I just wanted a little heat in the conservatory.

If you have the plumbing near the conservatory it would be easy to install a new rad.

Mine is south facing, and does get incredibly warm in the summer months, but in the Winter it gets extrenely cold, all tiled floor, and all exposed brick

There is a Rad right next to the Conservatory, the other option I have thought about is leaving the conservatory internal doors open in the winter, but it makes the living room so cold, as the radiator and fire in the living arent enough to heat both
