View Full Version : How do I swap a 2-gang switch?

I have a 2-gang switch outside of my ensuite. The right switch operates the main lights and the left operates a mirror light.
I'd like to swap these as they are not logically correct (if you get my meaning).
Can someone tell me which wires to swap to achieve what I want from the pictures below.

Easy one this. Going off the closeup pic.

The 2 cables in the bottom left terminal, put those in the terminal to the right.

The cable in the top right terminal, put that one in the terminal to it's right.

Then simply rotate the switch 180 degrees, screw it back and you're done:thumb:

Essentially it'll be upside down from before, but the switches will still work the right way up.

All done. Thanks very much. Now we just have to get used to how the switches "should be". :)
