I took my CBT on a Twist and go, does this mean I'm not allowed to ride a geared bike up to 125cc ? or does my CBT cover that too?:Suspiciou

From what I know (and that's not a lot) you can still ride anything up to a 125cc - if the filth pull dont quote me though. :lol:

yes you can ride a geared bike the cbt is just to make sure you are safe to go on the road its much safer than when it was when i started 26 yrs ago

Yes a CBT is merely a certificate saying you have completed basic training. Generally the best advice is to take it on a geared bike if you're going to ride a geared bike purely because you'll benefit from the training.

If you didn't think you would benefit from any training, then why the reluctance to CBT on a geared bike...

my mrs took it on a twist and go she now has a cbr125r
which i have a 180cc kit waiting for when she does her test next month

I didnt think I'd want to progress from a Scooter! I hate the ****ing thing and want to get a bike ASAP!!

How easy is it to learn gears alone?
