hoskib 13 April 2007, 17:45 it's a bit of a cover for my dads real 70th birthday present, but i need to convince him that we're going all that way for something special!

hoskib 13 April 2007, 18:00 wow, that was quick:cool:
cheers mate, looks pretty good that, shame there's no pics of the course but that looks just about the job:)
as you're a local boy;), don't suppose you have any feedback on a place called Manby Motorplex do you? that's the real reason for the trip up, my dad has wanted to do a juggernaught experience for as long as i can remember. be a shame to book it up then find out it's pants!!

To be honest, Manby is quite a way from me and I've not been to the Motorplex.
I'm sure you've had a look at their web site - http://www.manbymotorplex.com/.

nice one, cheers again:)
yep, been on the site and found what we're looking for. looks good on paper (guess all these things do though!) and they are few and far between, so looks like a done deal:D
nice looking course that, might actually try to build that into the trip after all!
G-STAR 13 April 2007, 18:44 Glad to hear it - hope it all goes well. :)
JOCKEY 14 April 2007, 10:26 Welcome to the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa (http://www.woodhallspagolf.com/)
Two great courses, nice area.
davegtt 14 April 2007, 12:48 Some really nice courses in Lincolnshire but its also a big place, where abouts are you looking? South Lincolnshire Id suggest Belton Woods but the course itself has gone really down hill in the last 2 years. Stoke rochford is a nice course though :)
hoskib 14 April 2007, 12:52 yeah, i always do that, assume places are about 10 miles square and everyone knows everything that goes on in that area:rolleyes:
the real venue is the manby motorplex and unless i book another day off work the golf course is just something i can print out to show him 'where he's going';) could well be worth taking the week of though looking at some of those courses:)
alcazar 15 April 2007, 21:06 How about this:
Leisure at QHotels - Golf at Forest Pines, Near Brigg, North Lincolnshire - Stunning 27 Hole Championship Golf Course, Designed by John Morgan, the PGA Senior Tour Player, offering over 10,000 yards of championship golf - QHotels is a Prestigious Hot (http://www.qhotels.co.uk/leisure/golf/forest-pines.shtml)
Nice restaurant/hotel too.

WOODHALL SPA, HOTCHKIN COURSE.
I've played hundereds of courses up and down this country. This one is my favorite (followed closely by Birkdale). It has everything a course should have and is a fantastic test of golf. I played the English amatuer championship there in 2000 and it was the best set up course i've ever seen. Simply stunning:thumb: I've been there many times and it never fails to deliver!
It's also the home of the English Golf Union too:)
