Gave my car the Mark Underwood treatment yesterday (or rather Mark did)

Looked great yesterday

Woke up today after it had rained all night - the car looks better than mint!

What a difference that stuff makes - loads of blemishes on the bonnet - totally oblitared - and one place said it needed a respray!

For all those wanting a brand new looking car again I stongly advise getting in touch with Mark immediately

 

I mispoke myself - it looks better than it did the day I bought it!

He did mine on the Saturday, superb finish.. well worth the money... and as you say, it didnt even look that good when I picked it up!

Are you boys Wax Wizard employees?

Just kidding, I am going to get some for Christmas or might wait until spring when the weather begins improving?

I am using Autoglym Super Resin and High Gloss Finish at the moment, in light of the fact that I will be getting Wax Wizard, should I carry on using this in the mean time?

As for Autoglym, well, one of the products in the starter pack (correct me if I am wrong mark) will basically remove all previous residue from other waxs, so shouldnt be a problem.. but the sooner you use waxwizzard, the sooner you'll be able to see your face in the paintwork

I can only echo the praise heaped upon the wax wizard products. For one reason and another, mainly the appalling weather we've been having, I have only managed to apply one layer of wax since the car arrived two months ago. The rain still beads and it looks better than new after a quick wash.
I can't wait to see what it will look like after a few coats of wax

 

Funny what some of you wrote about your car looked better than when you picked it up. That was certainly true for me also with my new car after a WW job .

I'm due for another wash/wax as the water isnt running off the same way it used too. The big problem is gathering the courage to do it in this weather. It's the time of year that probably need to take most car of the paintwork too...

car is allready treated twice but much too busy tro do again at the moment and dont want any old products being used by a valet company.

How long does the first application of WW take on an average sized car, including the cleanse prep?

How many applications will the starter pack carry out on one vehicle and finaly with average road grime accumilation how often do you need to WW the car? (if it is washed say once a week)

Each starter kit will give around 15 washes (shampoo) 4 cleanses (initially and every 6 months) and 40 to 50 waxings.

Initial treatment..wash car and dry. Cleanse thoroughly and then wax twice over to create a skin.

in between times merely wash car every week including the wheels to reove grime etc. Dry using a water blade and towel or towel only. Wax at least once per month but for optimum look say wax fortnightly.

As novice tyhe lenght of time to do initial stage is anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. Long no not really. As u have read above I take around 5 to 6 hours non stop but when I finish the car is better than new. Remember...input equals output..the more time u spend on detailed preparation the better the result. I guess youll need 3 to 4 hrs if u skip interior and under bonnet areas

when you say towel, do you mean a chamois or do you mean a cloth type thing or is it included in the kit?

From the most unbiased point of view that you may be able to give, do you think it is worth waiting till the weather improves before getting the kit?

Towels(buffing clothes etc) are supplied in the kit including all applicator pads.

Weather has little to do with it really. The idea is to protect your car from the elements. If u were to leave out such things as the interior and underbonnet areas the time u need to allow is around 3 hrs. Time well spent in affording your car the protection it needs let alone deserves. Why wait any longer..the longer u wait the damage to your paint and the longer u need to recover the situation. No time like the present.

Thanks for the info you sent the other day, still reading it through!

My problem is that all my other neighbours are 'normal' and wash their cars once every year or so. This means that when they see me washing my car and taking at least an hour+ (not including waxing)every week, they already look at me strangely. When they see me take 3+ hrs with the WW program, they won't talk to me anymore for fear that I've lost my mind.

Click on his banner ad, his prices are on the site. Or at least they were when I sent off my £63.75 inc VAT plus £3.83 carriage.

Seems a lot, but consider it will last over 2 years. About 60p a week? Chicken feed.

Oh, and I concur, the car shines like an M&M. At least it does when it's clean for a day at this time of year.

I spent my £70 at the Motor Show last year!! I've since spent a little more, but too lazy to wash it at the moment.

I was implying that someone could post the price of a Valet!!!!

You are taking far too long. Initial preparation you should allow 4 hrs and that excludes the engine bay and best part of interior and that is working at a reasonable pace.

A weekly wash and dry should take no longer than 45 mins (all by hand) and to wax the car no longer than 30 mins

Mark did mine at the weekend, in Guildford (he lives in Plymouth, 200 miles away at least!), he spent 7 hours on the cars, did the outside, the wheels, the wheel arches, rainx'd the windscreen, cleaned the engine bay and underneath of the bonnet + wax'd it.. put washer fluid in, cleaned the interior... looked like it hadnt been used! (except for the dents in the intercooler from bugs & other road kill! ). cost me about £175.. well worth it i think.. plus I get a pot of wax to carry on with & he gave me some wash fluid mix to use when the lot he put in runs out... It still looks great...

Yes, I take more than 45mins on the car but perhaps I take more care over it than you

I also like to be alone with my car for some 'quality time' plus there is something sensual about all those milky white bubbles flowing down those muscular wings that makes me want to caress the car very gently. All this takes time of course!
