View Full Version : how long do brake pads last in normal use? mikeswrx02 03 April 2007, 15:29 Just wondered how long roughly, do oe brake pads last in normal riding condition for modern 600cc bike? ie suzuki 600 gsxr k5. front and back info if poss. cheers in advance. Sbradley 03 April 2007, 23:42 I ride a lot in town and get through a set of rear pads in around 6000 miles, with fronts usually lasting about 8000. But then I tend to do several trackdays and brake like I mean it ;) Oh, that's on a Gixxer 750... BTW, I am still a trackday virgin! Sbradley 04 April 2007, 09:48 Rear brake gets a hammering in town as I use it for stability when I'm filtering...and I filter a lot.
