STi wanna Subaru 26 March 2007, 15:45 Quite simple this one. Only thing I want you to consider is who would you pick faced with the choice of only one of the two. AndyWalker 26 March 2007, 15:46 stevie G P1Fanatic 26 March 2007, 16:49 Its kinda like asking would you rather lose your left leg or your right. Id probably lean more towards Gerrard as Fatty Lampard hasnt really dont much at international level. Simon pete higham 26 March 2007, 17:01 stevie g even tho he is a scouser :p better to be northern ;) :thumb: NAF 26 March 2007, 17:23 Can't believe such a question could even be asked! :p Stevie g of course ! :D scoob93 26 March 2007, 17:25 look im an evertonian and this is my opinion, steven gerrard is awesome and CANT be taken out my shout would be lampard OUT n scholes in!! CrisPDuk 26 March 2007, 17:34 As a dyed in the wool scouser it's obvious which way I voted;) lampard OUT n scholes in!! Amen to that:thumb: moneys 26 March 2007, 18:11 another stupid poll then with a stupid question, gerrard every time for me lampard is a pile of ****e. pete higham 26 March 2007, 18:19 dont hold back ste!!!! :lol1: :thumb: 555 Markus 26 March 2007, 18:36 another stupid poll then with a stupid question, Its exactly that. Just another chance for all the rent-a-crowd northern monkeys to air their prejudices. Forget about your club football allegiances and support England! So Lampard isn't playing well for England this season.... and by that I mean he isn't scoring, but the bloke won England player of the year for two seasons in a row. How many of you have moved from harassing Hargreaves onto Lampard? Fortunes change in football, and Hargreaves deserved his player of the year award. As for Gerrard I'm still waiting for him to get that award for England, and don't tell me its cos he plays out wide... the bloke doesn't play where he's told to which is one of his and England's downsides. As I see it, Frank got on the end of three chances on Saturday. I'd rather that than watch Rooney run around trying to start a fight.... last time he scored a competitive England goal anyone? Happy to discuss any of the above over a cold beer in Barcelona this wednesday :D. pauld37 26 March 2007, 18:50  :p Not playing pauld37 26 March 2007, 18:54 ..........:Suspiciou ok, I played :D pauld37 26 March 2007, 18:56 Just another chance for all the rent-a-crowd northern monkeys to air their prejudices. :notworthy Nicely put Markus :D dogpole 26 March 2007, 18:57 both got pros and cons, but you can't play them together :) FlightMan 26 March 2007, 21:12 Born and bred southerner hear. The answer is Gerrard. If Lampards better, why were Chelsea so deperate to sign him? Can anyone answer that? How many big games has Gerrard won, almost single handedly for Liverpool? Panathaikos in the CL, the CL final, the FA Cup final. Shall I go on? Lampards a good player, and on form should be in the England team. Hell neither of them are setting the world on fire at the moment, BUT if MacLaren can't find a way to get the best out of both of them, ( and the mono syllabic tw@t hasn't got much of a clue ) then Lampard has to step aside. jasey 26 March 2007, 21:45 It's like asking would you rather have Rooney or pslewis in your team :lol1: LUCKO 26 March 2007, 22:12 Lampard should play in a blue England shirt and im sure his performances would improve greatly still aint as good as Michael Kightly though :D scoobygav555 26 March 2007, 23:21 Gerrard every day of the week. He like Roy Keane, has the ability to change a game on his own. Lampard cant do this:) richie001 26 March 2007, 23:36 As I see it, Frank got on the end of three chances on Saturday. I'd rather that than watch Rooney run around trying to start a fight.... last time he scored a competitive England goal anyone? rooney is meant to be world class didn't show that on saturday but thats lampard fault when lampard scores next time for england how dare any of you cheer  (that will before rooney and co do) scoobygav555 26 March 2007, 23:40 As said in the other thread, Rooney isnt an out and out striker. He is far better when playing just behind the front but for England he cant do this. It works at MUFC so why oh why wont Mclaren do it for England. Same can be said for the other players playing out of position:mad: CrisPDuk 27 March 2007, 02:08 BUT if MacLaren can't find a way to get the best out of both of them, ( and the mono syllabic tw@t hasn't got much of a clue ) then Lampard has to step aside. I'd like to add a bit to that if I may? If McLaren can't find a way to get the best out of an entire squad of players (or even play them in their natural positions), HE is the one who should be stepping aside:mad: The onus is not, and should never be, on the player to make the decision to step aside:nono: pauld37 27 March 2007, 06:42 :Whatever_ So, a bunch of wallies ;) on scoobynet vote for Gerrard, must be true  pauld37 27 March 2007, 06:48 The answer is Gerrard. If Lampards better, why were Chelsea so deperate to sign him? Can anyone answer that? :wonder: Err, how does that prove Gerrards better, Lampard was going nowhere if Chelsea had signed Gerrard. Mourinho seemed to think they could play together. Lampard was last years world player of the year runner up, obviously no one on scoobynet was voting ;) Gutmann pug 27 March 2007, 07:24 Steve G and the sooner our txxt of a manager works it out or fxxxx off the better Abdabz 27 March 2007, 08:14 Gerrard for me... He does a lot more than just tw@t the ball aimlessly at goal 20 times a match... STi wanna Subaru 27 March 2007, 09:03 The point is that because Gerrard is the better player he's been sacrificed and push to play out wide where you lose so much from his game. the problem is both his manager for club and country cant see this. It's no shock that Liverpool other than the good result over in Barca have not been beating teams since he's been pushed out to the right again. with Gerrard in the middle Liverpool charged up the league so much that the Liverpool fans thought they had a chance of the title (idiots). richie001 27 March 2007, 09:15 Liverpool fans thought they had a chance of the title (idiots). least we agree on one thing :lol1: STi wanna Subaru 27 March 2007, 09:30 least we agree on one thing :lol1: :thumb::D Funkii Munkii 27 March 2007, 09:51 Gerrard by a distance, should be captain of England as well, clearly... p1mark 27 March 2007, 09:54 Definetly Gerrard. He can control games like only the true greats can. Lampard can't do this at all. I can't think of one game that Lampard has completely overshadowed in the way that Gerrard/beckham/Cantona/Ronaldo etc. have done. I think Lampard is overrated. He scores plenty but blazes too many 25 yarders wide when a simple pass would be far more likely to create problems. The reason he looks so good for Chelsea and not for England is simple - Claude Makelele. He gives Lampard such free rein that it would be quite difficult not to look good. Don't get me wrong, he is still a very good player, but not in the class of Gerrard. |
