Hi All
I am looking to take my uk 05 sti to the 400 bhp + mark
these are the bits on so far what else is needed to hit my mark all work so far had been done at Roger clark motorsport and am now looking for a cheaper way to get it but fitting and maping will be done by RCMS and Bob r

RCMS Tubular manifold & venturi up pipe
RCMS 3" open neck down pipe & full system no center silencer with 4.5" slash cut tail pipe
Stage 2 fuel pump
RCM induction kit big K&N cone

Quite a good platform to start from.

The STI engine should be capable of running that sort of power.
The gear box is strong enough.

Basically you'll need a bigger turbo and fueling to suit.
I'd suggest The RCMS GT35VF P18 turbo which should take you to around the 420 bhp mrk.
Injector wise either 650's or 740's

Your existing ecu can be mapped to suit.

The other mods you've listed are spot on too.

Hope that helps

how about an MD321 turbo from lateral performance ?

that turbo is a bit nasty to sugest for a standard engine !!

Talk to Paul @ Zen he makes things go very fast for small £'s.

Add the fmic to that list also, for safety, 650 cc injectors (or I can map in 800's no bother), the RCMS GT35 hybrid/P18 will be the turbo thats suggested I think, you will need to use V Power fuel all the time after mapping. The 321H would also suit the objective, neither are OTT on a std engine suitably mapped, check out the P1 owners site, there were three cars using these turbos on std P1 engines that cracked the 400 barrier on the day, 401/375, 405/355, 408/380. All on no more than 1.4 bar boost.

cheers

MD321H from Lateral Performance would be good for just over 400bhp and could be used on a standard STI engine and would have very minimal lag.

Speak to Bob Rawle, as he has mapped a number of these turbos and will be able to give you good advice. If he is going to mao the car, then ask him for his recommendation :D

altho the md321t is the flavour of the month !! i have manged to get a picture of my gt30r at 1bar up, its pretty poor quality but it shows my spool from 4200rpm and its only at 1bar and max's at 415bhp !!

Agree with bob. FMIC, Injectors and MD321H, cook at 1.4 bar and leave to stand.

You need to get one that will actually support the performance, APS, of course, Perrin, Hybrid, Perrin one works well, mapped a couple of your model year cars fitted with that. As does Hybrid.

cheers
