Built for performance and show, the Typhoon™ Air Intake System is a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit many sport compact performance vehicles. Typhoon intakes come in one of three designs; cold air intakes (CA), short ram intakes (SR), or complete cold air (CCA) intakes which can be configured as either a cold air intake or a short ram intake. Some Typhoon's have high quality finish options including polished aluminum (part ends with TP), powder coated blue (part ends in TB), powder coated red (part ends in TR), and powder coated silver (ends in TS) among others. K&N intake systems replace your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction allowing more air flow to your engine. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. [MORE]

Will this fit a 2003 WRX Wagon Peanut eye?

Will it effect the airflow metering or casue any ECU issues.

I have a K&N panel filter in the original airbox as i was told that was the best bet.

Interested in this as i think it will free up space for a front mount IC (FMIC) , is that correct or does this kit use the wing hole a FMIC would use.

I have read these kits are very good though..

Hi ,

Most of the fmic I have seen use the first hole in the wing and this kit uses the second but it is hard to say if they will both fit together.. however if they didnt you don't have to go into the wing,

You won't find these cheaper than £190 anywhere else :thumb:

Does this cause any issues with MAF/lean AFR issues on a standard car as I wouldn't be going for a remap at the moment?? Also, is there likely to be a decent 'chatter-like' noise on a 2007 STi when lifting off?? I'm interested in this if its going to prove a better option and as safe as the current Green Panel Filter & Std. Airbox that is on there. :)

Cheers,
Grant

Hi ,

No need for a remap... we had this one running on our car for 4 months before we had it mapped without any probs,. No horrible noise's ... just a wooshing noise if you can hear it over your exhaust :)

Ok mate... If things go well, I'll give you a shout in the next couple of days, if they dont go particularly well, then I probably wont and I'll be in touch at a later date. :D

Cheers,
Grant
