My d50 has a strange rattle, with or without the lens. I noticed it when I first got it, and it doesn't seem to be a problem, but it's occured to me to get t looked at while it's still under warranty.

Thats assuming it is a problem...it's very hard to tell if it's something loose moving around, or not for definate. if I hold the body to my ear and slowly rotate it you an hear it moving.

Any ideas?

Some bodies have a little ball bearing inside which it uses to know if its being held in landscape or portrait format

Further googling would support your theory!

My D70 does it too, although my D200 doesn't:thumb:

:lol1: I shook it as hard as I could without dropping it. Perhaps it's burried a little deeper in the D200:wonder:

My D80 does it slightly louder than my Dad's D200.

Worried the hell out of us both until we found out they all do it.
