Thinking of going on a weeks holiday to Salou in October to see the WRC & just wondering how far are the stages from the resort centre?
Will be hiring a car but don`t want to be driving miles into the mountains & getting lost!
Anyone been before ? Any tips/advice much appreciated !
Many thanks! :thumb:

Not too far to any of the stages, most were easily reached from Salou within an hour. You will find yourself way up in the mountains though and I found the maps and directions supplied by RallyTravel invaluable. Going with them again this year. :D
Can't see this year's details up yet but last year's web site has maps and details under special stage guides.

Been to Catalunya for the last 4 years with Rally Travel (2 in Lloret and 2 in Salou) and booked again for 07.
Really cheap deal on all occasions. They provide the hire-car an 4star accomodation in Salou on a 1/2 board basis.
The information pack and map book has proven to be invaluable on every occasion, far better than what is provided in the programme.
The directions are spot on, telling you the distance and directions (which is really useful in some of the tiny villages on the route!) to every possible spectating location on the event along with a viewing description of each location as well as directions from the airport to your hotel.
They even display photos of all the spectating areas in their hotel, so you can see for yourself when selecting your day's viewing.
They provide a spectating presentation for the event, giving you all the additional advice you could need, plus the reps are always available (usually in the bar!!!) to discuss your own personal itineraries.
The pre-event Rally Show Rally Travel put on is a must-see. Gronholm & Hirvonen plus others last year, free & exclusive to Rally Travel guests.
Can't wait for 2007!!!!
