Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong in the following procedure ??

trying to make up a back up copy off the memory card in my Tomtom one v2, have as recommended in the user handbook made a copy using the supplied Tomtom home software.

the back up copy off tomtom is now on the second memory card but whenever I put it in the actual TT unit itself I get the card with the red cross display showing ???

Help ??!!

 

Hi Jono,

Have you tried copying the card's contents (with show hidden files and folder ticked and hide protected operating systems files unticked from within windows file explorer) to a temp folder on your desktop and then format your new card with FAT32 and then copy the temp folder contents onto the card. This works for me.

Okay thanks mate all done, seemed the card did not like the copy being done thru tomtom home software , a quick copy and paste direct and worked first time.
