Despite some minor hiccups with the mapping session (needed 3 wires changing over for my Apexi unit, many thanks as ever to Harvey :notworthy) and a temperamental 3 port all mapped and ready to go :).

Made 303bhp / 298lb with the following mods on a UK97 Turbo 2000:

TD05 Turbo + converted to front entry via Andy Forrest machined housing
OE Headers – ported by Harvey Smith, wrapped in DEI heat wrapping
Ported up pipe by Harvey Smith, wrapped in DEI heat wrapping
Stainless steel open neck decat system from the turbo back to a Magnex 6 x 4 oval back box
440cc Phase 2 Injectors + Carl Davey fitting kit
Walbro 255l fuel pump
SX Fuel pressure regulator + glycerine filled gauge + Carl Davey fuel rail adaptor
HKS Induction kit + cold air feed
Intercooler splitter & tilt kit
Samco red turbo hoses
3 port boost solenoid
4 pot Subaru front callipers + Scoobymania grooved discs + Ferrodo pads + Goodridge stainless steel hoses all round
Lighten stock sized alloy crank, alternator and power steering pulleys - CDFracing
Quick shift kit
Apexi FC ECU + Commander

Tried to push it more but started to det @ 6500 upwards so opted for a safer map (put this down to 94k on the clock). To make more I’d be looking to get rid of the stock TMIC and change to a 3” system apparently.

Not had the chance to take it out on the my reference twisties yet but feels a different animal already :).

Indeed, can't wait to give it a good exercise tomorrow :). Declared with insurance company all the additional mods plus some others as well and they charged me a not unreasonable £69, worth it for piece of mind imo.

Big thanks Also to steve simpson at TEG motorsport in lancaster.
i've just re-built my engine and took it up to him for a ecu and a map.
my car is a 95 import.
Had my car fitted with a steve simpson ecu and mapped on friday.

A really professional set up and and very impressed with the service steve offers.
Very highly recomended.
Here's a list of my mods:

td05 20g fe.
ecu upgrade.
ported and polished heads
uprated oil pump
walbro fuel pump
magnex slip jointed headers(wrapped)
uprated slip jointed up-pipe(wrapped)
revolution down pipe.
blitz nur spec r exaust system
550cc denso injectors
fuel lab fuel press reg.
exeddy 230mm clutch
lightweight cam pulleys
lightweight crank, alt, p/st pulleys.
F.M.I.C.
blitz b.o.v.
blitz air filter
lightened flywheel 6.5 kg

Running a standard wrx bottom end with only cast pistons, it ran 1.2 bar of boost and got 369 bhp / 340 ftlbs of torque.
I was very happy with the result. If i'd have uprated the bottom end with rods and pistons we could have run more boost and reached even better results, but not to worry, this will do me.
Needless to say it is very quick.
Also a mention to Paul Stabler from Darlington in the north east who supplied me with parts etc and was there to assist in the re-build, knows his stuff. cheers paul for all your advice and help.

Aye, very pleased with Steve's work still. Took it for an MOT last week (first time since mapping) and even with 300bhp and no CATs it passed the emissions!!! No fluffing involved held rpm at the recommended level for right length of time and passed. Tester reckoned who ever mapped it knew their stuff to get things that efficient, and i couldn't agree more.
