Went to the London dive show at Excel on Saturday...

Thousands of people visiting the Dive show and Baby show (odd combo) and there was this woman in the central corridor taking a lunch break

Trying to achieve a vibrant city look from the 70s

Twice a day I see these pavement signs - a great image out of context I think

On the way back home, the sun was on it's way downward and my girlfriend was a bit tired from the day

very nice

can't beat a bit of B&W

shot a local football match on Saturday - 470 shots in 30 minutes. Very challenging, but good fun. Trying to get the local rag interest

Did a portrait shoot too. Every one I've done so far I've had lighting trouble. I use 1 radio trigger, and the in-built LDR triggers. Trouble is, they don't work when there's a fair bit of ambient light. Which there is in a conservatory. Covered the roof with black cloth, made cardboard hoods for the light sensors (looks really Pro!), but it still wouldn't trigger.
Need to see if I can get a PC link splitter, so at least I can use cables if needed. Or only shoot at night!

some great shots in there. i imagine shooting sports is pretty difficult - concerts are bad enough!

at least there's daylight, though you still need a fast lense. I bought this 50-150 f2.8 the week after shooting my first match, where my slow Canon just couldn't cope.
Interesting shooting someone running towards you without getting yourself flattened...

Excellent pictures guys. I went to a freshly opened MSA approved karting track. never photographed any karting before, so it was nice to have a change.

Both really nice. Model or friend?
How did you get the colour in the second shot?

All excellent images. The colours in model shot 2 are great - I'm really into the deep saturated look at the moment. Done properly, you can achieve some real atmosphere.

And I really like the kart shot where they're all coming down the straight.

I do like that we get out and shoot when we can. I don't care my camera weighs 2 kilos with a prime on it, I'll take it out whenever I can :D

:lol1: I'm the same. I fitted a second battery with a split charging system, a 230 volt inverter and 2 double sockets in the back of my van so that I can always have battery charging capabilities and a laptop running:thumb:

1. Model

2. Did not do as much as you might think as the trees really are that colour!..

a, Adjustment Layer - Levels
b, Duplicate Layer - Gaussian Blur, approx 2.0pixels - Add Layer Mask, Brush Tool and Remove Gaussian Blur from Eyes, Lips, jewellery, Hair & edge of face.
c, Adjustment Layer - Curves - create an 'S' curve to add contrast.
d, Duplicate Layer - Turn brightness right down - Add Layer Mask, Large Brush Tool with Feather edge and remove dark layer leaving a little around the edge.
e, Resize then sharpen Eyes, Lips and Jewellery with Sharpen Tool.

Easy :thumb:
